Chris came to me with a website that he’d been handed from the previous business owner. The hosting, emails, domain and local listings were all managed through different providers and it was difficult for him to track what he was paying and what value he was getting.

The first step was to sort out the emails so that he could convert the leads that he knew his work was generating. I was able to resolve this quickly, retaining his old contacts and messages and moving to a platform compatible with Gmail.

We then looked at a number of different options for revamping the website. For ease and flexibility going forward we chose a WordPress theme that met the criteria of a simple design, SEO friendliness and mobile responsiveness. WordPress was perfect for Chris as he wanted to be able to write his own blogs and make minor edits to the site without being faced by daunting code.

As the main source of lead generation for the business is enquiries it was important to get a contact method in place. We used a simple form which enables me to track conversions and Chris to easily reply to his leads directly from emails.

I made some some minor amends to our chosen WordPress theme and was able to get Chris online with a brand new website within days.

Once the website was sorted, the next challenge was to build SOLO’s local presence. I deleted a selection of old Google Business listings and refreshed the one with the best reviews to unify the companies presence and bring a local SEO boost.
